Cookie policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. The website may also use local storage to retain a preference on this device.

Operation and preferences

WordPress technical functions, user authentication and service protection may use necessary cookies. Photographs, fonts, and theme resources are provided by the site itself. The statistics preference is stored in local storage, under the key lumiinox-privacy-v1, for 180 days. If the browser blocks this storage, the preference may not be saved.

Optional statistics

The site uses Google Analytics, integrated through Site Kit, to understand page usage. The statistics code remains blocked until you choose “Accept statistics”. Refusal allows you to continue browsing and using the forms. Analytics cookies, such as _ga and _ga_*, distinguish visits and sessions; their duration depends on the service configuration and browser limitations, and can reach up to two years.

You can change the option in “Cookie Preferences” in the footer. By refusing after accepting, the site stops loading statistics and deletes Analytics cookies from your domain that are accessible to the browser. The option does not exclude data already processed by the provider or cookies from other domains.

Maps, translation and external services

Contact pages incorporate a Google Maps map that is displayed automatically. The connection to the provider occurs when the map is loaded and may involve technical data and third-party storage, according to the browser's Google settings and session. This incorporation is distinct from optional site statistics.

Translation is provided by GTranslate and you can retain your selected language, including through the cookie. googtransWordPress / Jetpack services and authentication may use their own technical mechanisms. Links to Google Maps, reviews, and social networks open services with their own policies.

See the Google information about cookies, the Automattic cookie policy and the GTranslate policy.

Browser control

You can check, delete, or block cookies in your browser settings, including third-party cookies. Some external features, translation, or authentication may stop working. For questions about personal data, please consult the privacy policy or contact luis@lumiinox.pt.
